Gideon Rubin - CEO
As CEO of Simply Ideas LLC, Gideon Rubin provides the strategic vision, manages the financial needs of the company, as well as oversees the company’s marketing optimization and analytical research for its clients. Mr. Rubin has been working in the interactive marketing and strategy space for over 10 years in Education, Financial, High-Tech, and Startup Industries. He has provided Search Engine Strategies for Fortune 500 companies and major world-wide interactive and search marketing agencies.
As the Executive Director of Marketing, Finance & Analytics for a Washington Post Company (NYSE: WPO) Mr. Rubin helped launch the company to become one of the fastest growing marketing and lead generation businesses in the Education Industry. He was responsible for managing a $15 million marketing budget on Search, TV, the Internet and other media. He currently also serves as the strategic advisor for several Internet companies and Angel investors, and was formerly an advisor for Venture Fund Management a venture capital firm in Palm Beach, Florida.
In his free time Gideon likes to get involved with environmental technology and business ventures including a role he held with the Working Waterfront Association as the acting director of the National Harbor Safety Committee InfoCenter web portal (a joint venture with the US Coast Guard).
Mr. Rubin graduated Cum Laude from Brandeis University with a B.A. in History and a certificate in Legal Studies, and has also studied advertising and marketing effectiveness at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. After receiving his B.A., Mr. Rubin worked for Young & Rubicam Advertising (LSE: WPP) in their New York flagship office. He was responsible for the print, TV, radio, online, and outdoor coordination of the newly acquired Citibank's North American Consumer Bank and Citibank's North American Investments accounts (NYSE: C). His account group was awarded a Silver Effie, for advertising effectiveness. For Roche Pharmaceuticals (OTC: RHHBY), he helped launch the campaign for the new drug, TamiFlu. Mr. Rubin received his MBA from the University of Miami with concentrations in Finance and Management Science (a form of applied statistics).
